You can go by road and still see the the amazing countryside that Britain has to offer, but if you can, really get off the beaten track.
Kent is zig-zagged with byways, roads long forgotten to time that are nothing more than dirt tracks in some instances, but really can get you into the heart of the countryside. For my venture, we piled in to my brother's Land Rover, picked up an ordinance survey map and headed for the hills.
I never expected to feel as relaxed as I did, but not only was it relaxing, it was incredible to see what was effectily right under our noses. As Ryan steered his 1960's steed further into the hills, the sights became more and more profound. People travel the world to see incredible secenery, places like New Zealand, and Austrailia. But on a sunny day, nothing compares to England, Kent especially. It really is easy to see, out here in the sunlit woods, why people call it The Garden of England.
Here are just some of the amazing views taken on our trip through the long lost corners of South East Kent.
And here's a short video of the view from the driver's seat.
