The Red Devils take with them a crucial 2-0 aggregate lead, and more importantly two away goals, and a team with more than enough depth to secure a victory. With the likes of Hernandez, Rooney and Berbatov available at his disposal, Ferguson looks to have the advantage going into the clash.
Schalke will be facing an uphill struggle in trying to hold United progressing to their third Champions League final in four years.
Amy Harper, an avid United supporter from Rainham, Kent said 2they should easily win the game due to the 2-0 lead from the first game. However, she had her doubts over the final.
Should United progress, they will face Spanish giants Barcelona, who have been in superb form in this years campaign. Amy says progress to the trophy will be difficult for the English side.
"The final will be really tough and I can see it going to penalties if I'm honest. Given the status of the two clubs, I think it would be unfair for it to be settled in that way, but I wouldn't want to call a result between two teams of such high quality."
Tune in for ITV's coverage of the game on the 4th of May, ITV 1 at 7:30.
Here are the highlights from the first round, with a sublime performance from Schalke goalkeep Manueal Neuer
